The issue of reservations, theoretically, is a matter of very high scholarliness.

However, the matters that need very high scholarliness are very often easily understood and are stated with unimaginable simplicity by the persons/people living in the scenario of the context.

The parochial and sheerly self promoting caste domination perspective would only bring about foolish expressions though they are wrapped in attractive and influential forms.

The great scholar, Dr. BR Ambedkar, supplied us the right perspective with lot of scholastic exercise. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia too contributed in the same line with similar scholarliness.

A common person from the oppressed castes too would express the same opinion without much sholastic excercise. What is to be noted is that, for such statements on their own being, they don't need much scholastic excercise. And, what is to be noted with much more seriousness it requires a great scholarship to appreciate such generic views.

is an appreciable effort to unravel the shallowness that kill the merit in the name of "testing merit". The basic question is what kind of merit and much more basic question is what is the purpose of merit.
